Family: I have my two parents and a brother. My brother is also a teacher and my Dad is a DCE.

Hobbies and Interest: I love playing sports, pretty much all of them. My favorites would be Volleyball, Soccer, and Basketball. Being born in Kansas I have always been a Kansas fan (Chiefs, Royals, and Jayhawks). I also really enjoy watching movies and reading historical fiction and fantasy books.

Hobbies and Interest: I enjoy hiking, fishing, camping, bike riding, and so many more outdoor activities. In my free time, I enjoy reading books (especially novels by Nicholas Sparks) and trying new recipes. I have a big heart for animals and enjoy walking my dog in the evenings.

Favorite thing about St. Paul: I love the wonderful caring atmosphere, the excellent faculty, and the involved, supportive families we partner with every day.

Previous Positions/Jobs/Years: I’ve been fortunate to enjoy two careers- one as a foodscience business home economist, and one as a middle school teacher. I get to bring real world experience into the classroom, helping students see the value and answer to their question, “Why do we need to know this?”

Job history: I retired from Lockheed Martin as a senior software engineer. I subsequently worked as an assistant research professor at the University of Mississippi for 3 years, doing research for the Navy, as well as teaching math and computer problem solving methods in the School of Business. I also taught in the School of Business at Missouri Western State University for 1.5 years.

Previous Positions/Jobs/Years: I worked in Maryville for a year finishing graduate work and teaching Math part-time in High School while being a Graduate Assistant Guidance Counselor. I worked 8 years full-time and 4 years part-time for the Saint Joseph School District as a Guidance Counselor.

Hobbies and Interest: I enjoy scrapbooking. I collect carousel horses. I love to travel and have been to Ecuador for a mission trip three times. I also enjoy tutoring, sponsoring the DC trip, and being co-president of PTL as well as other volunteering opportunities.
