Saint Paul’s adult choir is blessed to have served the Lord for over 125 years. The current group is made up of around 30 members of all ages (beginning in 9th grade) who love to sing and share their love of Jesus through music. Our choir “year” runs from the end of August to the middle of May, similar to the school schedule. Highlights of 2015-2016 include the annual Hanging of the Greens in December, “The Living Last Supper” cantata on Maundy Thursday, and Choir Sunday in May. In addition, we contribute to morning worship services on Sundays generally alternating between the 8:15 a.m. and 10:45 services.
Our choir family enjoys singing a variety of styles of sacred music from classical to contemporary and every effort is made to coordinate with the scripture readings and sermon topic in each service. New members are always welcome!! Join us each week on Wednesday evenings 7:30-9:00 pm in the church balcony for rehearsals. Questions? Please call the church (279-1110) or school (279-1118) office and ask for Helen Shade.
The church handbell choir is made up of eleven ringers ringing 3-octaves of handbells. During the school year we rehearse Wednesday evenings 5:45-7:00 pm in the church sanctuary. Although we have performed in the community, our main focus is playing for worship services approximately once a month including Hanging of the Greens in December and Choir Sunday in May.
Although all positions are currently filled, we are always looking for ringers willing to serve as a substitute. If you are interested in being part of the handbell choir as a regular member or substitute it is necessary that you are able to read music. The director is very willing, however, to teach new ringers bell techniques.
If you would like more information or have questions, please call the church (279-1110) or school (279-1118) office and ask for Helen Shade.
